Duran Duran sounded amazing!
Simon and his crew completely blew me away, sounding better live than recorded. The stage was beautifully lit, and there were such interesting images being used to fit each song on their stage screens. Simon sang his heart out and sounded incredible, moving me with the music for sure.
The only negative is that all of the real fans were kept behind barriers while it seemed corporate tables were filled with people who could care less. The band noticed, and so did all of the fans, finding it shameful. The real fans were held back, and there was so much room closer to the stage for us all to enjoy the show.
I have spent less money in Atlanta and St Louis and had much better views of the stage. This venue is flat instead of having those of us on the lawn higher up, so that we can see what is going on. There were big screens for those further back, but if they just changed this venue a bit, it would be much more desirable.
The Botanic Garden needs to rethink their set up for sure. It seemed as if maybe 10% of the people closest to the stage actually wanted to see Sacramento Kings. The rest of us would have LOVED to have been so close to the rock legends! If you get a chance to see Sacramento Kings in concert, don't miss it!
